After an eventful christmas/new years break I'm finally back in Munich. It was a great time with my family and then of course during the last week with [livejournal.com profile] ikel89. Ruhrgebiet sightseeing, stupid anime and lots of rain included. BLOH <3

Now one of my first acts after being back had to be go pick up my secret santa package!! Such a nice thing to look forward to during work today!
It's from Russia and the lovely Ksenia made it! (seriously are there other countries involved in this exchange then russia, germany and US?)
When I opened the package it already pleasantly smelled of coffee, which is like my favorite smell in the world??!! Unfortunately it turned out that this was because the bag of coffee inside was slightly ripped and the powder was everywhere, including my room's floor and furniture. If this means infinite coffee smell for me, I'm totally fine with it.

As for the other contents! See all the russian cuteness!

I was mostly surprised to find a letter written in german (and very well also!), so this alone made me squee and go all smiley faces.

Then we have lovely smelling bath products (of which I still need to find out the flavors, but I think the right one is the same stuff my grandpa uses to make liqueur?). I'm always out of shower products and I love natural stuff so this is perfect! I get that the left is shampoo but russian people could you help me out about the orange one? The german word in the letter is kind of vague...

Also super cute muffin ..molds? What is the word? I haven't done any baking in a while and now I really want to!!
Look at the owl pen! I LOVE OWLS
(please notice coffee powder covering everything xDD)

Also the letter is written inside this adorable handmade card, which makes it even more cool!! I love the rough paper!

New Year's greetings! Honestly I'm really happy that this package didn't contain any chocolate as that would have totally ruined my plan of eating less sweets this year. (seriously people stop giving me sweets I'm weak!!)

Thank you so much Ksenia! I will leave this entry public so you can see it since you're not in LJ!
And of course big thanks to Kay for organzing everything once again! I hope you'll get your package tomorrow!!

This was a great way to start my time back in Munich.
When I came home yesterday I had to find out that not only the sink in our bathroom but also the light there was broken (fixed it already, sorry roommates you are useless) and we had run out of coffee and other basic edibles. You can guess how well that resonated with me after two weeks at my family's place where everything is always in perfect order and the fridge stacked with food. I need to get used to my peasant life again.

song of the day: Sia - soon we'll be found

Very glad the package arrived! :)

Hello There! Kay kindly sent the link to this entry and turns out I can write a comment! I'm very glad you liked the package :) sorry about the coffee :/ I should have thought to put it into a plastic bag ///

So Kay beat me to it in terms of messaging you !
Don't worry, coffee in weird places is nothing I disapprove of ;)

Ich bin immer noch sehr beeindruckt von deinem Brief! So gut wie keine Fehler, wirklich!

Hope you'll have a lovely 2016! And thank you :D

bloh brofist! <3 much fun was had, yes yes! and thank you again for such promptness with the santa business (see, responsible citizen P. strikes again :D) regardless of general neighbour uselessness, munich winter, time away from your warm family house, etc etc. and for the good vibes, too - i hope to report with good news tomorrow:)

I testify that there are, in fact, other countries involved in the GE :D There's Canada and UK in GE2015, as there have been for most years. Sometimes Malaysia joins in, and twice it was China, for reasons of friends having stayed there at the time *pokes*

The hair lotion (orange) is with buckthorn, btw - is that the grandpa liquor stuff?:)

Luckily, I can have warmth in this apartment also! And then there are already good news about roommates, since today we met up with a friend who would like to take the room that'll be vacant soon, and it looks promising! I'll be so glad if we can skip any roommate castings whatsoever...

Buckthorn, yes it is! And what about the flavor of the other one?

I second buckthorn as the orange stuff on the picture, but according to the brand's website this hair conditioner also contains a number of other ingredients, including cloudberry, burdock, fir tree and god knows what else, so XD

Lovely package all around! The cupcake liners look adorable, and the paper looks sturdier than in some of the thin ones I own, so they should turn out great :)

P.S. Roommates and flatmates are always such a bother, gosh. My sincere condolences!

Lol yeah, I'm not normally this into researching hair conditioners (and yeah, even though the word on it is fancier than 'conditioner', it really is just a conditioner, to be used after shampoo and washed off like the usual), but I have a shower gel with a picture of similar-looking berries on it, which I initially assumed were buckthorn; for some reason though the description said it was ashberry, even though normally ashberry is brighter in color, so - long story short, knowing we could be mistaken because pictures are misleading I decided to check, since on your photo the part with the ingredients is not visible. And also I use this brand, but not this particular line, so I was curious :) The main ingredient for the shampoo is supposed to be wild snowdrop that grows on the Kamchatka peninsula, by the way. God only knows how it's different from the normal snowdrop, but what do we mere mortals know of snowdrops XDD
